Discomfort due to inflammation is very complex. It may begin with arachidonic acid (an omega 6 fatty acid obtained from consumption of a variety of animal fats and vegetable oils, especially corn-fed beef). While a certain amount of omega 6 fats are required for good health, an imbalance of omega 6 fats relative to omega 3 fats has been shown to promote inflammation.
